Privacy notice
Information about contacting us, website use and personal data.
Privacy notice
1. Controller and contact
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this notice is:
Datalink AG
Ringstrasse 16
8600 Dübendorf
Switzerland
Email: info@datalink.ch
Telephone: +41 44 824 55 55
For questions about privacy or to exercise your data protection rights, please contact us at this address.
2. Processing of personal data
We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection provisions, in particular the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Examples include names, contact details and IP addresses.
3. Visiting our website
When you access our website, technical access data is recorded in server log files. This includes the IP address, access date and time, the requested page or file, and information about the browser and operating system used.
This data is processed to provide the website, ensure stable and secure operation, and detect and resolve technical errors and abusive access.
The retention period for technical server log files depends on the configuration of the hosting service used.
4. Contact and business enquiries
If you contact us by email, telephone or a contact form, we process the information you provide. This includes your contact details, the content of your enquiry and any attached documents.
We use this information to handle your enquiry, communicate with you, and prepare and conduct a business relationship.
5. Hosting and service providers
We use external service providers to operate the website and process enquiries, particularly for hosting and IT services. They receive access to personal data to the extent necessary for their work.
We do not sell personal data. Disclosure takes place to provide the services described or where required by law.
The WordPress website is prepared for the hosting at green.ch chosen by Datalink. Other IT and email service providers are used where necessary for operation and communication.
6. Cookies and embedded services
The supplied website theme uses no analytics or marketing services. Fonts, images and documents are delivered locally. External maps are linked only and open only after a click. WordPress uses technically necessary cookies, particularly for login and administration. Additional plugins may introduce further data processing. The contact form sends the name, email address, company and message to Datalink by email. A briefly stored, non-readable key derived from the IP address limits abusive form submissions and is deleted after ten minutes. The theme does not store a copy of the message as a website record.
7. Retention period
We retain personal data for as long as required for the relevant processing purposes. Longer retention applies where statutory retention requirements exist or data is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The data is then deleted or anonymised.
8. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and misuse.
Complete security in electronic transmission and storage cannot, however, be guaranteed.
9. Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law, you may request information about the processing of your personal data and request its correction, deletion or the cessation of certain processing. Where the statutory requirements are met, you may also request the release or transfer of your data.
If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it with effect for the future.
Please send such requests to the contact address above. We may require proof of identity to handle your request. Statutory obligations and overriding legitimate interests may prevent individual requests from being fulfilled.
You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
10. Changes to this privacy notice
We may amend this privacy notice when our data processing or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this website.
